Collagen Induction Therapy
Collagen Induction Therapy provides the most effective medical grade micro-needling treatment available. This system creates thousands of micro perforations on the skin stimulating natural collagen and fibroblast formation. The handpiece uses a 9-pin single use needle that can penetrate from 0.20 -2.50 mm depth very safely and very hygienically. As a result of these micro perforations the skin shifts its natural repair mechanism into high gear and starts producing collagen and elastin to repair these micro perforations. This self-repairing property of the skin is a 100% natural form of skin renewal from the inside out. The advantage of collagen induction therapy compared to other treatments is that it not only activates cell regeneration, it also enhances the absorption of active ingredients of topicals into the skin during and after the treatment before the micro channels close.
Your skin becomes firmer and regains its elasticity; fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced; pores become finer; circulation is stimulated and the overall condition of the skin improves.
Rejuvapen treats fine lines and wrinkles, acne, scarring, surgical scarring, burns, stretch marks, and firms and tightens most body areas. Treatments may be done 4-6 weeks apart, which is especially beneficial when treating scars. Call us today for your appointment.

You will need to arrive 30 minutes early for your appointment so that you can wash your face and we can apply a numbing cream to your face or other body area that you will be receiving the treatment on.
The peptide gel that is infused with the micro-needling system contains:
Panthenol which heals skin through an anti-inflammatory process
300 kDa Hyaluronic Acid which controls the repair of skin tissue
Matrixyl 3000 which enhances moisture and hydrates the skin
After your treatment we apply a copper cream which is a silky anti-aging moisturizer formulated to reduce redness, hydrate, increase moisture retention and increase collagen levels. It also contains antioxidants such as red algae (astaxanthin), Co Q-10, Idebenone, ceramides and vitamin B5.
Contraindications:
a history of keloid scars, scleroderma, collagen vascular disease
bleeding disorders
active bacterial or fungal infections in the treatment area
must wait 3-6 months after Accutane use
pregnant or nursing
skin cancer in the area of treatment
must not have had other injections, peels or laser treatments 10 days prior to collagen induction therapy.
Results:
After a collagen induction treatment you may look and feel like you have a moderate to severe sunburn. This usually resolves within 24 hours. However, some areas may stay red longer, especially if treating a stubborn pigmented area or deeper acne scar. Your skin will feel tight and may sting a little. Our Jane Iredale clinical skincare makeup does an excellent job of covering up the redness!
Although you will notice healthier looking skin in the first week after treatment, the natural repair process of your own skin continues to progress over the course of several weeks. Keep in mind that dermal collagen remodeling takes place over time so it is not realistic to expect that damage that has occurred over an extensive period of time will disappear immediately. That is why we will wait a full month between treatments. Significant stretch marks, scarring and pigment problems can require multiple treatments.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) infusion with Collagen Induction Therapy
Adding Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to your treatment involves drawing blood from your arm and putting it through a series of centrifuges until we isolate the platelet rich portion which contains growth factors and stem cells. This greatly enhances the growth of new collagen. In sun damaged and scarred skin, the enzymes released from platelets induce remodeling to younger healthier skin cells.
PRP has been used for years in the orthopedic world and for wound healing and has prolonged the need for or prevented surgery, such as joint replacement and skin grafts.
Anyone who uses products or other treatments for lines, wrinkles, and general skin reconditioning can be improved with PRP. And anyone who has had problems tolerating products for these sorts of procedures will be happy to know that they are using their own plasma, platelets, stem cells and enzymes, just in a concentrated form. Dramatic results are seen in crepey skin areas such as the under eyes, neck and decolletage.
Above is a picture of Dr. Trussell immediately after a microneedling with PRP, then with Jane Iredale foundation on half her face, followed by a quick selfie 2 hours later with her Jane Iredale makeup on. So the treatment as you see, truly is coverable with the correct makeup.
